Aine designs and produces limited-edition furniture intended for small apartments. Each created product serves at least two utility purposes, with the possibility of assigning further features to it. The basis of our ideas consist of a tendency to change the functionality of objects with one simple move. Thanks to research conducted among inhabitants of small spaces, Aine aims to answer the real – rather than the imagined – needs of the customers.

Thanks to conscious project choices and applied design methods, we allow our furniture to fulfill diverse functional tasks, every one of which is realised to its fullest extent. The products are designed to be easily moved along with their users from one apartment to another.

At Aine, we believe that aesthetics is not enough, seeing it rather as a good starting point for the creation of valuable, functional furniture. Our idea: to own less, but to exploit the maximum potential of the functionality of every object, which is often individually discovered by the user.

Responsible, Small-Batch Production
We do not produce furniture for stock.
Every aine piece is made to order, in short production runs, with careful use of materials and minimal waste. This approach eliminates overproduction and ensures that resources are used responsibly and intentionally.

Durability and Material Honesty
We choose materials that age well: wood, steel, stone. They are strong, repairable and timeless — designed to last longer than trends. Longevity is built into every decision we make.

Function Before Form
Our guiding idea, “aesthetics is not enough”, means that form always follows real needs.
aine pieces adapt, transform and reveal new functions through simple gestures. Design starts with understanding how people live — especially in small and flexible spaces.

Fair and Transparent Cooperation
Our partnerships are based on clarity and respect. We define responsibilities openly, value expertise, and ensure fair compensation for every part of the process. Any new collaborator is selected based on competence, quality of work and alignment with aine’s values — never on personal or social criteria.

Equality and Inclusion
Aine works with people of various ages, backgrounds and experiences. Everyone contributes on equal terms. Skill, responsibility and shared values guide our collaborations.

Clear and Honest Communication
We communicate openly — with our collaborators and with the people who use our furniture.
From early prototypes to the final piece, we share why decisions are made and how the design evolves. Transparency is part of our process, not an add-on.
